First Days

Welcome to my blog. I have never done this before so I am SOO nervous ha not really but this is for all you that are bored, want to see what I am getting into, or have an appreciation for waking up pretty.  It is pretty honest and probably a solid way to maintain my single status. This is my story:

As is tradition, I almost missed my flight to Stockholm. Security blew and I was approached by a lady asking if I was flying to Stockholm. I calmly said yes, and was then grabbed/pulled onto a golf cart where I was driven to the gate. It wouldn't be right if the plane was not waiting on me. ("ma'am, the plane is waiting on you" circa 2008 KU Soccer trip). So After I made the flight, I met Megan. She is the shit. She played at WVU and then with Boston. There will be more about her later--this is my blog. So I'm on the plane and just enjoyed a nice brisket dinner with mashed potatoes when BAM, I thought I was going to poop my pants. You know when youre with your friends and you think its funny when you fart and other people smell it but only you and your friend know--yea I didnt have that. With that being said, I pondered these following questions. 1. what if someone did in fact poop their pants on a plane? do they have spare clothes? would I ask someone to borrow their pants. 2. What is the longest amount of time someone has stayed in an airplane bathroom. Do they knock on the door? Anyways. We finally made it to Stockholm- and holy hamburgers. These men are, well, they are very nice looking men Mom. Nice fitting pants, suits, shoes-the whole package. There will be more about the men later but we then hopped on a little plane to our Island, better known as Ostersund.

Megan and I were greeted by paparazzi. No seriously. 3 girls on the team, members of the board, our coach and some news reporters. Lets just say after a 22 hour travel span, I was looking pretty fly. (Pics to follow)

The apartment we share is so cute and I expect to have zero privacy. Haha Megan and I's bed are like 4 feet away but its great. The girls took us around the town and are SO nice. Nicer than American girls i presume haha. After a brief tour, Megan and I headed back to the love shack where we slept for 15 hours. It was a dream come true, no pun intended.

Today (Wednesday) we had our first training. The stadium is AWESOME. Brand new turf surrounded by covered stadium seats on both sides. We trained at 7 under the lights. The girls here can play and the soccer training was all based around skill and actually playing soccer. I have a great feeling these next 2 months will be incredible; full of trainings, working out at Gold's gym, and enjoying the outdoors, despite old man winter who thinks he can keep us in.

As for now it is time for bed! I will post more later and be more specific about soccer and stuff like that. Thanks for reading.
